Refund policy
1. The general rule
The ₹99processing fee pays for the credit criteria check carried out on your application. Once that review has happened, the fee is not refundable — this is true whether the outcome is approval (where it's adjusted against your interest instead, not refunded separately) or rejection. A refund is the exception, issued only in the specific situations below — not whenever an applicant is unhappy with the outcome.
2. When you are eligible for a refund
- Duplicate payment. You paid the processing fee more than once for the same application — for example, your UPI app showed the payment as failed or timed out and you paid again, but both payments actually went through. We refund every payment beyond the first.
- Overcharged due to our error. A technical fault on our side caused you to be charged more than the fee that actually applied to your application (for example, a stale cached price). We refund the difference.
- Paid but never actually submitted for review. A fault on our platform meant your payment was verified but your application never reached an admin for review — not because you closed the tab or abandoned the process yourself, but because something broke on our end.
- Withdrawn before review begins. You contact us to withdraw your application while it is still waiting in the review queue (status "Submitted") and no admin has reviewed it yet. Once a reviewer has looked at it, this no longer applies — see below.
- Unauthorized payment. You believe this payment was made without your authorization. Contact us immediately; we'll investigate before any refund is issued.
3. When a refund does not apply
- Your application was reviewed and rejected under our internal credit policy — the fee covers the review that was already carried out, regardless of outcome.
- Your application was approved — the fee is adjusted against your interest, not returned as a separate refund.
- Rejection or delay caused by information you provided being incorrect, incomplete, or unverifiable.
- You simply changed your mind after your application had already been picked up for review.
4. How to request one
Email support@kashtpe.com with your application reference, the UTR of the payment, and which situation above applies. We review every request individually — eligibility isn't automatic outside of a clear duplicate payment.
5. How refunds are paid
Payments to Kashtpe go directly to our UPI account — there is no payment gateway or aggregator in between. That means refunds are issued the same way: a manual UPI transfer back to the account the original payment came from, typically within 5–7 business days of your refund being approved. We cannot send a refund to a different account or UPI ID than the one that paid.
